  Bigg Boss 8 Launch: Watch Host Salman Khan              Reveal Details of Show's New Season


Bollywood star Salman Khan launched Bigg Boss Season 8 with a live performance amid much pomp and fanfare in Mumbai on Friday (12 September).
The actor was at his candid best during the event and put up a good show marking his return as the host of India's most popular and controversial reality show.
Khan, known to be quite moody, engaged in some fun and banter with ex Bigg Boss contestant Andy (who was co-hosting the event) and the attendees present. Here are some funny and cheekystatements that the Kick star made at the Bigg Boss 8 press 
conference -

1. "This time Colors has so much money in their budget for Bigg Boss that we can afford to fly abroad and still shoot indoors."
2. "We'd be having many foreigner contestants in the house. And as you all know, most of them might already be my friends."
3. "You know why I am dressed as a pilot? Because I have never done a pilot episode for a TV show."
4. "Wasn't taking Andy in the house a mistake last year? I promise we won't repeat it again."
5. "I am in touch with all the contestants we've had on our show previously. You won't believe it but I am still sorting their shit out!"
The actor, however, did not hint at or reveal anything about the contestants for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, photographers who decided to boycott the actor's events, following an unpleasant incident during Khan's Kick promotions, were missing from his Bigg Boss 8 press conference, reports.
When asked if Salman was missing the photographers, the actor said: "What can I do... I can't force anyone. I have not stopped them from taking my pics... they have banned me and taken a stand. All I can say is do it (click pictures) quietly, respectfully and not like 'macchi (fish)' market.

      Bigg Boss Season 8 readies for take off

The show, which will last 90+ days, will kick off on Sunday, September 21 at 9 PM – with 12 inmates. Salman Khan will be the host for the fifth year running.

Bigg Boss Season 8 is all set to take off. What viewers have in store is a never-before-seen thrilling adventure which promises to be all about bumps, jolts and spilled drinks. Produced by Endemol India, the show starts on September 21, 2014, on Colors, and will air every Monday to Sunday at 9 PM.
This year the show will take off with 12 inmates, newsmakers from all walks of life, who will need to carve their own paths, forge their own connections, accept the quirks of their housemates and survive. Salman Khan will once again host the show with his humour, empathy and raw reactions to the contestants.

Salman Khan said about hosting the show for the fifth time, “Like always we’ll have an incredible range of travellers on board this time. As we fly high, I can only advise the inmate to stay calm and collected as patience, tolerance, tact and trust are the only tools that will control the turbulence. I’ll keep a check on their safety and well-being week on week to ensure that their journey is smooth yet not so smooth in this whirlwind voyage.”

          Bigg Boss 8: Celebs who should be part of the show

Sunil Grover, who charmed one and all with his performance as Gutthi in Comedy Nights With Kapil and later moved on to Mad in India. The show flopped, but Sunil Grover has no issues as he believes in performing as an actor. Sunil Grover too in the last year has attracted attention with his controversy with Kapil Sharma. The actor seems to be the right option to be in Bigg Boss 8. With his humour and popularity he surely assures to bring the adequate amount of thrill to the show.

Minissha Lamba:
     The Yash Raj actress is the last one inside the Bigg Boss 8 house. The drama begins now.

Arya Babbar:
     The Tees Maar Khan actor enters the Bigg Boss 8 and is expected to add spice to the proceedings like Arman Kohli did in the last season.

Karishma Tanna:
     The leggy lass is one of the first two contestant to enter the Bigg Boss 8 house.

Upen Patel:
    The controversially colourful Gujju dude has come straight from London and with this flight he is only going to go places. We are expecting this babe magnate to showcase his naughty side in the plane. he UK-based model had worked in several Bollywood films, including Namastey London, Shakalaka Boom Boom and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, among others.

Sonali Raut:
     She is the younger sister of Indian model Ujjwala Raut.

Natasha Stankovic:
    Adding fire to the Bigg Boss 8 proceedings is the Serbian model who was seen opposite Ranveer Singh in the Do-The-Rex condom ad. She was also seen in an item number in Satyagraha.

Gautam Gulati:
    The actor who featured in popular Star TV serial Diya Aur Baati Hum, Gautam Gulati enters the Bigg Boss 8 house. This explains his sudden disappearance from the show and gives Bigg Boss 8 another name from the daily soap.

Praneet Bhatt:
    Shakuni Mama from the Mahabharat on Star Plus is the next Bigg Bogg 8 inmate to enter the house.

Soni Singh:
    The sizzling bombay babe who sizzled as the delicious vamp in Sanjay Leela Bhansai’s much talked about television series Saraswatichandra is all set to unleash her oomph in the plane.

Sushant Divgikar:
    Mr Gay India Sushant Divgikar joins the BB 8 house. Whether he can fill the shoes of Imam Siddiqui who is considered as the favourite LGBT contestant of previous seasons.

Sukirti Kandpal:
    Dr Anjali from the popular show ‘Dil Mil Gaye’ enters the Bigg Boss 8 house with Gautam Gulati.

Diandra Soares:
   Model who scorches the ramp with her catwalk, Diandra Soares is known for the bald ramp walk. She is also a fashion designer and anchor.

Bigg Boss Season 10 to Begin from September 21


This season has an aviation theme and several sponsors are on board.
Colors has announced that Bigg Boss, its marquee show, will start from September 21 at 9 PM. At the helm, as always, will be Salman Khan. The channel claims that the latest edition will be a more action-packed journey full of excitement and revelations than the earlier ones.

This season's theme is aviation, which, the channel claims, has aroused much curiosity. The teaser campaign of Khan dressed as a pilot will be followed by a series of spellbinding promos shot by ace director Rohit Shetty.
While audiences await the advent of the new season, Bigg Boss Season 8 has already won the attention of multiple brands such as Snapdeal coming on as the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors who have been roped in this season include 'powered by' sponsors Oppo Mobiles, 'driven by' sponsors Maruti Suzuki and associate sponsors Garnier Men, TVS Motors and Cardekho.com
Following this development, Colors' prime time property Beintehaa will move to the 11 PM time band every Monday to Friday from September 22nd while the curtain will fall on Rangrasiya as Rudra and Myra's love saga will meet its logical conclusion on September 19th.
Bigg Boss is a combination of reality and unscripted drama. The format requires the participants to be locked inside a house for more than 90 days. Every week, a round of voting eliminates one participant. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss, the ultimate authority in the house, assigns various tasks to the contestants, resulting in drama, fun, backbiting and fights that are captured by cameras fitted inside the house. Bigg Boss Season 7 had 14 contestants.
